| Chris Young Extends Global Agreement with EMI Music Publishing | EMI Music Publishing, the world's leading publisher of popular music, announced today that it has extended its five year relationship with Grammy nominated, Nashville based singer-songwriter Chris Young.
Young has achieved five consecutive number one singles on the Billboard Country chart including his self-penned songs “Gettin’ You Home (The Black Dress Song)”, “Voices” and “Tomorrow”. His current single “You”, also written by Young, hit the top spot last week making it his fifth consecutive number one in a row. The new co-publishing deal sees EMI Music Publishing continuing to represent Young’s impressive catalogue of songs and future works.

Following his self-titled debut album, which reached number three on the US Country chart, Young’s songwriting credentials have flourished and his second studio album ‘The Man I Want To Be’ is now certified gold with sales of over half a million copies. Young’s highly acclaimed third album “Neon”, opened at #4 on the Billboard Top 200 in July 2011.
Young was a big winner at last year’s American Country Awards where he was crowned Breakthrough Artist of the Year and took home Single of the Year for “Voices”. Young capped off an incredible 2011 by performing to a sold out crowd of 6,000 fans on New Year’s Eve at Billy Bob’s in Texas and he is currently a special guest on Miranda Lambert’s ‘On Fire’ tour.
